Bvulgari by The Decade

Founded in Rome in 1884 by Greek silversmith, Sotirio Bulgari, it is not hard to spot Bvulgari jewelry. Marked by it’s uniquely colorful design, Bvulgari has and still remains a staple trend-setter in the jewelry industry.

Over the decades, Bvulgari has remained true to it’s Roman roots while challenging the status quo of contemporary jewelry design.

In the 1920’s, Bvulgari’s style was classic Art Deco, leaning on it’s French legacy and incorporating geometricized platinum and diamonds. But starting in the 1940’s, Bvulgari’s genuine style emerged, introducing bright and aesthetic tones in yellow gold.

But the vibrancy didn’t stop there. In the 1950’s, Bvulgari began introducing precious and colorful gemstones which would become a hallmark of the brand evermore. These colorful creations caught the attention of A-list celebrities who amplified the brand on an international level.

This wave of success allowed Bvulgari to expand throughout Europe and the United States of America through the 1970’s. As expected, this expansion brought about cultural influences that would continuously transform and build the Bvulgari empire that exists today.

These expanded influences drove innovation and expansion in the brand throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s.
